April 2004
This was won by
Scott Pantony and this is an Escort MK6 GTi, also recently Scott has had a
feature for his car from Fast Ford and is
due out March 2005, but he has since
then sold on the car and bought a series 1 rs turbo.
MAY 2004
This was won by Wayne Champion with his top notch Escort MK2 Mexico which is very close to concourse condition. This car is in such good condition that it looks like it had just come off the production line, 1600cc Pinto engine, Roll Top recaro seats original steel wheels etc. There is nothing more to say about it than that apart from when he brings out his MK1 Escort Mexico once the restoration has been completed now that is one car to look out for next year.
JUNE 2004
Last month the winner was Rollin with his Tour mallard Green Escort Cosworth this is a really well specked up example and the aerodynamics have been greatly improved due to the amount of polish that is applied!!
Here is a list of the mods:
Low comp pistons 7:2.1, Ported & Flowed Head with BD 10 Cams, Group A Head Gasket, T34 with Cutback Blades, 360° bearing ,
Lightened & Balanced Crankshaft, Ali lightweight flywheel, Pace RS 500 Spec intercooler, Grey injectors (403), 3 Bar Map senor
Bailey Tanks, Swirl Pot & Oil Breather System, Chrome Rocker cover, B&M Quick shift, New Diff & Front Drive shafts, Alcon 6 paddle clutch, Poly bushed everywhere, AP 330mm front discs with AP 4 pot callipers, EBC rear discs & EBC pads all round, Koni shocks with AVO springs on the front, Group A coilovers with 400lbs springs on the rear, Rear Strut Brace, Blitz Boost Control, Plus some nice ICE, Smoked rear lenses, clear front indicators, twin headlamp conversion, 18” Kahn RS Rims with Bridgestone SO3 235/40/18 tyres ,
So what does all this convert to well a lot 387BHP & 355lbsft of torque.
Iam sure we would all like that under our right foot?
July 2004
Last month the winner was Lee Eggleton with his S2 RST which is in Mercury Grey metallic, 17” chrome 5 spokes which I must admit I like a lot especially as I have found out they are available in a 20” for my Focus RS now there is a thought. The car has just had a new Turbo fitted with -31 actuator, Chrome Rocker cover, Purple Samco hoses, boost gauge with plenty more mods en-route every time I see Lee there is something new on the car. This car is worth watching as you never know what it will sprout next! After winning car of the night he then went on to win car of the stand at the Dorset & Hampshire Regional Day that has really set his Dad John on a collision course with Lee as he is just a little jealous especially after Lee had already gone home by the time of the prize giving.
August 2004
Chris Petch won car of the night last month with his new RS2000 2wd Mk6 and Chris it is a Mk6 RS2000 not a Mk6 like you think only little bits are different but it is enough. The car is totally standard inside and out and in great if not concourse condition the car came standard with 150BHP 16 valve engine driving the front wheels , Recaro interior and all the trimmings, 15” alloy 5 spoke wheels.
